Solace is a series of weavings that reflects on the relationship between my mother and me. These weavings are meant to reference the idea of communication through their size and proportion, which is similar to that of a page. They serve as tangible reminders of our conversations and experiences. The dynamics of the shapes and textures within the composition reflect the immense health hardships we have been through together and the intimacy of having both taken care of one another.
